Nap Naps
Nap Naps
I have always been interested in being able to live in a sustainable way with the environment, however having looked at the way that I currently live I know that I have big room for improvement.

One step that I have taken with my partner is to start using cloth nappies on our 2 young children. We were a little hesitant given our busy life styles and the ease of disposables however were not happy that the current disposables in New Zealand by Treasures and Huggies are not bio-degradable, and the amount of these nappies currently clogging our landfills.

We actually first started using a brand of German nappies that we found in a store in Christchurch which were biodegradable, however they were quite a bit more expensive than the other varieties and also harder to get hold of - and for a young family on a budget they just didn't work. In the end we found a brand of cloth nappies called Nap Naps which were durable, and still held in everything they were supposed to.

Whilst we do have to do more washing now we have found the Nap Naps have worked really well, they have saved us money by not having to fork out for disposables every week, and of course we aren't causing as much damage to the land fills.
