Azzuro Solar was founded in 2002.
Azzuro Solar water heaters are arguably the best solar water heaters available to the New Zealand market for both small scale domestic and large scale commercial systems. With 7 years experience in New Zealand with well qualified, highly motivated and experienced staff Azzuro Solar has developed a solar water heating system that suits New Zealand weather conditions.
Azzuro Solar have also built up a nationwide accredited installers team.
Azzuro Solar have been and continues to be actively involved in renewable energy solutions into the 21st Century – an increasingly important industry in this age of climate change and the inevitable exhaustion of fossil fuels.

The success of the solar product can be attributed to two main aspects – outstanding efficiency (and therefore performance), combined with exceptional life expectancy second to none. The high performance of Azzuro SWH’s can be partly attributed to the type of system employed and partly attributed to the quality of the system components, in particular the solar collector panel.

The system comprises a closed-loop, pumped solar water heater that utilizes pure water as the heat transfer fluid – a novel concept to the New Zealand market giving both performance gains and system simplicity. The main component of the system, the solar collector, is a patented CPC evacuated tube U-loop solar collector panel designed and developed in Germany and manufactured in China under strict German quality control standards. The panels are designed for disassembly with a ‘cradle to grave approach’. The life cycle energy usage required in manufacturing and installing this product is substantially out performed by the energy provided by the system during its life time. The collectors are built for disassembly using 100% recyclable materials.

Azzuro Solar have supplied, installed and commissioned large commercial SWH systems throughout New Zealand.
