Description

We have just started building our workshop and are in the process of applying for consent for the house. The workshop is a ribraft insulated floor, lawson cyprus untreated timber frame with Terra Lana wool and polyester insulation and a lime plaster coasting inside and out and a roof of treated pine trusses with blanket insulation topped with coloursteel (rain collecting). The house is a super-insulated (R4.5+) untreated Lawson Cyprus frame with lime plaster outside and earth plaster inside. Ringbeam foundation with insulated earth floor with underfloor heating. Timber frame double glazing with low E coating. Solar hot water plus wetback booster. Internal insulated walk-in pantry/coolstore. Future aims include going off grid with mixed hydro and wind power.
