Happyzine is launching this initiative: Back to the Good Life? Ode to Tauranga: Three Car Free Days Before 31st December, 2011

"In positive response to the Tauranga Oil Spill we've set the dates for three Car Free days over the next three months. People are encouraged to enjoy some good old fashioned fun such as being with the family, being part of local community events, or staying home and gardening, fixing stuff, enjoying long leisurely conversations, making jam, sewing, knitting etc. We're looking at running supportive online workshops. We'll measure the amount of KMs that people avoid driving and calculate the CO2 emissions we've saved."
