Family Friendly Ecovillage - Queenstown??
Posted 28 Jun 08 9:07 PM
We are looking to relocate and alter our lifestyle. I practice agnihotra (as taught by Lee&Fritz Rigma) so would love to learn/participate in biodynamic farming or similar and a village situation is most practical for us. I am drawn to Queenstown but am open to other areas. Don't know if we can afford it there even with the shared equity scheme but wanted to put in out there just in case. Rapidly changing property climate and all that.
Blessings, K.

hiya we are planning to return to nz and want to start our own eco village.we have been looking in the dunedin area .mostly waitati 20 min from city centre.we are still doing a lot of research and soon will be looking for people who share the same dream.it will be an arts ,outdoor rec, healing etc orientated.eco village with oportunities to make a living in the village in joint buisness ventures. we have realized just how hard it is to make a decent living there that is why we are doing a lot of research into it.we are looking for all sorts of people, artists, actors ,directors, dancers, yoga ,pilates, massage therapists, natropaths, out door rec teachers, builders, carpenters ,proffesionals, computer wizzes, potters, musicians and much more if sounds like your cup of tea please contact anna

Hi, Waitati would be perfect I reckon. I'm not exactly in a position to invest in this lifestyle, but wish I could. However, I would like to follow your progress Anna, or even to help in whatever way I can. Am currently the Treasurer of a Trust made up of an enthusiastic bunch of people who are creating a community garden in Port Chalmers (not far from Waitati). For me, the 'eco-village' lifestyle is very appealing. Good luck, Dallas.
