Composting wood shavings
Posted 16 Feb 10 5:29 PM
My husband is a carpenter. Can I compost all or any of the various wood shavings he produces (hard woods, soft woods etc in our worm bin?
Or can I use the shavings as a mulch?

Yes - but ONLY if the timber is untreated and assuming no bark content - Rex

Some barks high in resin might not be benificial in a worm bin, which is what the poster was wanting. Rex
