The house started as a cottage, was added to over the decades, and received a major eco-renovation when the present owner took it over in 1998. A thermal mass conservatory was added and insulation was installed in the ceiling, some new walls, and underfloor. Solar waterheating, grid-tied PV (720W) with batteries, a raintank (6500L), and a greywater reuse system was added. Much visited by groups on building tours, the house demonstrates what can be done to upgrade a large existing house.

The house is not for sale but we're happy to arrange a visit for people seriously interested in learning about our experience with this project.
